Do you know the story of the Chacom pipe brand? In 1825, about thirty years before the discovery of briar, the Comoy family was making pipes in Avignon-lès-Saint-Claude, a small village near St-Claude in the Jura. The pipes were then made of boxwood. In 1856, the year of the discovery of briar, the Comoy house moved to Saint-Claude and became the first pipe manufacturer in this village. After the First World War, Comoy officially partnered with its cousins Chapuis. The company in St-Claude then took the name Chapuis-Comoy & Cie (better known under the name Chacom pipe). Smoking.fr therefore selected, among the most beautiful pipes from the Chacom house, a choice of original and high-quality briar wood pipes.
