Full description for MacArthur 5 Star Natural Corn Pipe

The MacArthur 5-Star Natural Corn Cob Pipe is a straight pipe with a very deep (5 cm) cob bowl carved from a corn cob. This bowl has undergone no polishing and has therefore remained natural and raw, thus representing the very first corn cob pipes made in America. The wooden stem of this pipe for smoking is long, and its acrylic mouthpiece allows for the insertion of a 6 mm paper or balsa filter (not included, available for sale on this site).

The origin of this maize pipe is well worth a legend: A farmer in his cornfield found himself quite helpless when, stretching out his hand in his pocket, he realized that he had forgotten his pipe. The immensity of the American fields of cultivation being, he could not return toclosed the farm to look for it. So he managed with the materials around him: corn and canes. He hollowed out an ear, planted a piece of cane in it, and the first corn pipe came to life.

Authentic pipe

Legendary and authentic pipe, with a rough texture since it is unpolished. I was a bit worried given the size, but it smokes really well. Of course, you can't keep it in your mouth because of the weight, and it's not meant for domestic use, but it's a pipe to smoke occasionally at home, calmly... once you take these factors into account, it is really great.

Be careful with delivery!

The pipe is well made, no problem with that, but it is fragile! Delivering it "thrown" in a bubble envelope without any further protection is taking a huge risk! Mine shows play between the bowl and the stem, I hope it lasts a while...
