A cigar cutter is a tool designed to cleanly cut the end of a cigar before smoking it. It works by applying precise pressure to make a neat cut, thus allowing for a better smoking experience.
There are several types of cigar cutters, including guillotine cigar cutters, cigar scissors, V-shaped cigar cutters, and punch cutters. Each has its own advantages and is suitable for different types of cigars:
The choice of a cigar cutter depends on your personal preferences and the type of cigars you smoke. Consider the size, shape, blade quality, and ease of use.
A V-cutter makes a V-shaped incision (called a V-cut) in the cigar cap, while a guillotine cigar cutter cuts the end completely. The choice depends on the preference for the depth of the cut and the type of draw.
Take care of your cigar cutter to extend its lifespan. Clean the blades regularly and store it in a dry place.
