The origin of this corn pipe is worth a legend: A farmer in his cornfield found himself quite deprived when, reaching into his pocket, he realized he had forgotten his pipe. Given the vastness of the American crop fields, he could not return to his farm to retrieve it. So he made do with the materials around him: corn and reeds.He hollowed out an ear, planted a piece of cane, and the first corn pipe was born.
