Coming from the United States and more precisely from the state of Missouri, this corn pipe will be able to find a place in your collection. Corn pipes are widely used to test different tobaccos before smoking them in another pipe. The Diplomate
pipe is bent with an acrylic stem and a 6 mm filter.

The origin of this corn pipe is worth a legend: A farmer in his cornfield found himself quite unprepared when, reaching into his pocket, he realized he had forgotten his pipe. Given the vastness of the American crop fields, he could not return to his farm to get it. He therefore made do with the materials around him: corn and cane.He hollowed out an ear, planted a piece of cane, and the first corn pipe saw the light of day.

Beautiful Meershaum corn cob pipe

Very pretty Meerschaum pipe (I already have 3 others from this traditional American manufacturer). This one is really elegant. It is quite 'heavy' due to the bowl being significantly thicker than other models and the mouthpiece (mouth side) not being very wide, but it is a pipe that should be smoked calmly, without doing anything else at the same time 😸. And it is very pleasant to hold the wide bowl in your hand throughout the smoking.
The sensation in the mouth is very particular (this is just my impression) but since it is new, it will take me a little time to get used to it and to wait patiently for this bowl to break in a bit.
The internal volume of the bowl, on the other hand, is very close to more common models—just a little deeper, which is very nice.
