Laguiole Knife in Aubrac Fair Trade Wood

Made in France in the Laguiole Area, this Laguiole en Aubrac knife is a knife with a handle made of difou (African wood), sourced from fair trade. Indeed, the wood used for the making of this knife comes from naturally dead trees. By purchasing these wooden blanks, the artisan who made this knife supports and encourages this approach. The WFT engraving followed by the item number guarantees the fair origin of the wood. A rare and exceptional Laguiole en Aubrac knife that all those who support fair trade will be delighted to acquire.

Laguiole en Aubrac

• Handle: yellow-brown
• Bolsters and blade: brushed stainless steel

• Handle: difou (tropical African wood, its yellow color darkens with air and becomes brown)
• Bolsters and blade: stainless steel

Created in 1829, the brand takes its name from the town of Laguiole in Aveyron, where the knife was made at origin.
The stop of the blade is most of the time a bee; legend says that it was Napoleon I who granted the inhabitants of Laguiole the right to use this imperial symbol as a reward for their bravery in battle.
Thanks to its elegance and distinctive lines, as well as the use of luxury materials and flawless finishing, this knife has become a true work of art.
