How to clean a glass shisha

Glass hookah, it's still a different experience. Much more pleasant and more aromatic than a classic hookah, glass models offer an optimal smoking experience. But the flip side is still significant: cleaning. Here’s how to make the glass hookah look like new in no time.

Removing the carbon deposit

Much more visible on glass hookahs than on other models, the carbonized deposit leaves a white and glassy film inside the equipment. Many mistakenly think it is limescale. To remove this famous white film from your hookah, several solutions are available to you. Although one is more recommended than the other.

Indeed, elbow grease by scrubbing with a regular brush or the one from the Fumo kit, specifically designed for the brand's models, is highly recommended.Attention, the corners can be quite difficult to reach, which is why the Fumo kit remains perfect.

Clean the bowl and the stem

To clean the bowl and possibly the top of the stem, you can pour a little bleach into a bowl with water. Let the equipment soak in it for a few hours until the deposit has disappeared. Before reuse, make sure to thoroughly clean the bowl to avoid any unwanted taste.

To clean the other side of the base, use the small brush from the Fumo kit, in order to remove the tobacco deposits. Be careful, the diffuser should be cleaned using a toothpick to avoid damaging it.

Clean the vase

The Fumo multidirectional brush is ideal for cleaning any part and corner of the vase.
You should therefore moisten the Fumo brush and insert it into the neck.
Then you need to scrub to remove the layer of deposited ash (the carbonized deposit). Proceed with circular motions.
The deposits are found mainly at the bottom and at the water level.
Rinse your vase and dry it. You do not need to use chemicals or anything else to remove the charcoal marks.

The simple Fumo brush is perfect. Moreover, you will notice that it works very well by looking at its color after cleaning: it is black! Proof that it is not limescale. Although we strongly recommend using the Fumo kit to clean your hookah, some people do not wish to invest or do not have much time todevote to cleaning their glass hookah, prefer to use household products (oven cleaner, bleach…) to clean the base of their hookah.

Be careful, these are still corrosive and potentially dangerous products, because residues can remain in the base and, therefore, be inhaled. Your glass hookah is now ready for your next session!
