Very good replacement for a lost or damaged pipe

Even if this replacement pipe is not exactly the diameter of the inside of the tube coming from the stove, it is already very good to find a 'spare' pipe here; just heat it a little to widen it slightly (or put a bit of tape around the end, and it’s perfect!

Regarding this acrylic pipe, the floc diameter is 7mm (that's correct), but it is said that it is intended for 4mm diameter filters: this is not accurate, because the 4mm filter floats in the pipe, and a 6mm diameter is too large. The ideal would be a 5mm diameter filter. Apparently, hard to find!

Thank you for your feedback. You are absolutely right to emphasize the importance of a good fit for optimal operation. Concerning filters, it should be noted that pipe filters are only available in standard diameters: 4 mm, 6 mm, and 9 mm. Unfortunately, the 5 mm diameter does not exist on the market, which limits the options.

In the case of this acrylic pipe, it is indeed designed to accommodate a 4 mm filter, even if it may seem slightly loose.This generally does not affect its efficiency, because once the pipe is assembled and operating, the filter stays firmly in place thanks to the pressure exerted by the assembly.

Identical to the original but...

Exactly the same tip as my Missouri Meerschaum except that it doesn't fit. You have to force it at the risk of breaking the pipe and rotation is impossible. I had to sand the tip with 240 grit for it to fit. It takes 2 minutes and then perfect.
