A family business

It was in 1876, in via Orefici, near the well-known Piazza del Duomo in the heart of Milan, that the first Savinelli pipe shop opened. Achille Savinelli made his first pipes there before entrusting the work to craftsmen in Varese, further north.

Achille Savinelli's brother and sister left for Genoa to open their own shop. It was a loyal clientele that allowed the Savinelli name to last. Achille Junior was the one who transformed the way Savinelli pipes were made: he started his own production of Italian stems, which had previously been made abroad, from poor-quality briar. By the end of the Second World War, the standing of Savinelli pipes was firmly established. Its pipes quickly became luxury goods and its stems came to be regarded as the best on the world market. Since then the company has passed from father to son, along with the reputation of the pipes, with the aim of modernising the range while keeping the craft and the quality of these long-established pipes.

The various models

Alongside the standard models, the brand makes a point of releasing a limited series every year, with the year marked on the stem. From the rustic Fantasia 673 KS to the mini range and the Oceano line, the choice of Savinelli pipes is very wide.

Special and limited editions are also sold, such as the Football collection, the Riserva, the Saint-Nicolas and the well-known Leonardo Giochi di Luce.
