The custom Chacom pipe: how does it work?

The principle is simple: as in a supermarket, you make your choice among the many parts on offer and, at the end, you get a pipe that looks like you, made and thought out by you.

It makes a one-off present for someone who collects pipes. Chacom is one of the leading French brands. Its pipes are all made by skilled workers in France and are certified as Saint-Claude pipes. The brand's reputation needs no introduction.

Making your choice

The bowls are all made of briar, while the stem is acrylic. Every model is fitted for 9 mm and can take the filter of your choice (not supplied). Choose the bowl and the stem, and the two will fit together to give a pipe made almost to measure for you.

All you have to do is decide between a straight or a bent pipe. After that, a set of bowls will be shown to you, and it is up to you to pick the one that suits you best. Done? Then move on to the stem and choose the one that seems most in keeping with your habits and preferences: round, flat, coloured, and so on.

To personalise your pipe further, you can also have your first name, your initials, a message or something else engraved on it. All that is left is to put your custom pipe in the basket and wait for it to arrive in your letterbox.
