E-liquid: how to make your choice

E-liquid is the substance vapers put in their electronic cigarette, whether to reproduce a familiar taste or simply to flavour the vapour. It comes in four fairly distinct families, and prices vary little from one brand to the next. But how do you find your way around such a crowded field of manufacturers? Here are a few pointers to help you make your choice.

Tobacco-flavoured e-liquids

Some vapers come to the electronic cigarette looking for the taste of tobacco they are used to. A great many tobacco-flavoured e-liquids are available. They come in varying strengths, and the only way to find the one that suits you is to try several before settling on a product.

Brands such as Aquialiquid, Edsylver and Le French Liquid offer e-liquids made in France. Their aromas run from mild tobacco to more pronounced notes such as cigar tobacco.

Refreshing mint e-liquids

For menthol smokers, or simply for those starting out with vaping, this range is pleasant on the palate. The freshness of the e-liquid is quite unlike anything else and makes for an unusual experience for those who have never tried it.

Many brands offer this type of product, among them Alfaliquid, Edsylver and Roykin.

Sweet and dessert e-liquids

Vapers with a sweet tooth have plenty to choose from in the dessert-flavoured range. From caramel to strawberry sweets and candyfloss, there is something for every taste.

The brand with the widest choice is Alfaliquid, but Silvercig is not far behind with some rather unexpected flavours.

Fruit e-liquids

This is the most extensive range of e-liquids on the market. Almost every fruit has been used by manufacturers at one point or another. From mild aromas to the sharpest ones, here too every vaper will find something to suit, which is why these flavours are often the first ones newcomers try.
