E-liquid, a blend of flavours

Unlike the conventional cigarette, the e-cigarette and its e-liquid offer vapers a choice of tastes. There are three main families of flavour: the sweet or dessert range, fruit flavours and tobacco flavours. Much as a pipe is nothing without its tobacco, the e-cigarette produces no vapour without its e-liquid, which can be chosen with or without nicotine depending on what the user is looking for.

Sweet and dessert e-liquid

The flavour of an e-liquid comes from food flavourings added to natural nicotine, one of the main components of e-liquid. From brands such as My Vap and Plug N Vap, some e-liquid flavours are frankly indulgent, tasting of candyfloss, espresso coffee, caramel, chocolate, or even liquorice with a slightly sugary note. These are pleasant, playful aromas, best enjoyed in moderation.

Fruit-flavoured e-liquid

Here comes the exotic side of e-liquid. Those who like fresh fruit will happily turn to fruit-flavoured e-cigarettes. Red fruits, exotic fruits, pip fruits, stone fruits and citrus all lift the taste of the e-cigarette a little. The choice of flavour depends on the mood of the moment, whether that means apricot, cherry, strawberry or melon.

Tobacco-flavoured e-liquid

Among vapers there are those who are trying to stop smoking, and tobacco-flavoured e-liquid gives the sensation of a conventional cigarette, including the tightening at the back of the throat. That sensation is felt in particular with tobacco-flavoured e-liquid containing nicotine. Cigar enthusiasts also have an e-liquid that closely imitates the taste of Cuban cigars: it is called X-Cigare.
