Cigarino: a new app for managing a cigar collection and tasting notes

Cigar enthusiasts who like to keep track of their collection and tasting notes will know the problem: a few lines in a notebook, photos stored on a phone, a cigar they cannot quite remember trying, and a humidor whose contents can eventually become difficult to keep in view.

Launched in August 2026, Cigarino brings all this information together in a single app available on iPhone and Android. The idea is simple: replace the traditional tasting notebook with a digital tool that can also be used to manage a cigar collection.

Your cigar collection right on your smartphone

One of Cigarino’s main features is the ability to catalogue a cigar collection.

For each cigar, users can record the quantity they own, the price per cigar and their own photographs. The different cigars can then be found directly in the app.

This becomes particularly useful as a collection grows: rather than opening the humidor to check what is left, the inventory can be viewed directly from a phone.

The Premium plan also lets users create multiple humidors. This is useful for separating, for example, cigars kept at home from those stored at the office or in a travel humidor.

A digital cigar tasting journal

Cigarino does more than catalogue the cigars in a collection.

The app also includes a tasting journal where users can keep a record of the cigars they have smoked. Each tasting can include a rating out of five, personal notes, a photograph and the duration of the tasting.

Over time, users can build up their own tasting history.

This is probably one of the most useful features for people who regularly record new references. Months or even years later, they can quickly find a cigar they have already tried and, above all, remember what they thought of it.

A catalogue for finding and browsing cigars

The app also includes an illustrated cigar catalogue, regularly expanded by the Cigarino team.

Cigars can be explored using different criteria such as strength, region, vitola or manufacturer.

This makes it possible both to find a particular cigar quickly and to browse the catalogue for references not yet recorded.

Users can also save cigars to a wishlist, making it easy to find those they would like to look up or add to their collection.

Statistics to get a broader view of a collection

Premium users also have access to statistics about their collection and tastings.

These provide a broader overview of a humidor and of recorded habits, with various figures on the cigars owned and the tasting history.

The Premium plan also provides access to personalised recommendations based on the user’s preferences.

Is Cigarino free?

Yes. Cigarino can be downloaded and used for free on iPhone and Android.

The free version lets users manage a collection of up to 10 different cigars, with no limit on the quantity of each. A box containing several examples of the same cigar therefore counts as just one cigar towards this limit.

It also provides access to the tasting journal and the app’s catalogue.

For users with a larger collection, an optional Premium plan removes the collection limit, allows multiple humidors to be managed and provides access to statistics and personalised recommendations.
