Discovering the Calm+ brand and its CBD pouches

Calm+ describes itself as a specialist in alternatives to tobacco. With its latest generation of products, the French company says it addresses people who are looking to stop smoking.

Who are Calm+?

The Calm+ brand has been around for more than 10 years. An early arrival in e-liquids, it states that its purpose is to help smokers stop or reduce their tobacco consumption. According to its two founders, nicotine is not in itself harmful and it is combustion that makes it bad for health. On that basis, and affiliated to Fuu, they assembled a team of specialists to design CBD e-liquids, oils, gummies and sprays.

What made the brand known, though, are its Calm+ e-liquids, which combine CBD and nicotine in a single bottle. On the strength of a few studies they cite, the founders say they are convinced that the effects of cannabidiol and of other molecules found in hemp can help smokers give up cigarettes. That is the brand's own position.

The CBD pouch, the brand's small innovation

Calm+ has introduced a new product: the CBD pouch. Made in Scandinavia, it takes the form of a pharmaceutical-grade paper sachet. Inside is a plant-based powder containing CBD. The format allows the molecule to be released slowly, and the brand states that the effects on the body are the same as with its oils or its spray.

Easier to take and to measure out, the pouch is simply slipped under the upper lip and left to dissolve for a good ten minutes. According to the makers, the larger the dose the stronger the effect. The range therefore comes in three versions: 10, 20 and 30 mg per pouch. They are lightly mint-flavoured, which also freshens the breath.

These CBD pouches contain neither nicotine nor THC. Each box holds 20 pouches, to be used whenever you wish. Some users see the product as a complement to vaping, while others say they use it to move away from combustion.
