Helios humidors: designer cabinetmakers near Toulouse

The pink city holds its share of surprises. Tucked away not far from the Pechbonnieu hills, the Atelier Hélios has learned to work wood like few others. And when a passion for that noble material is applied to the cigar, the results are worth a closer look.

Atelier Helios in a few words

Charlotte Rouret, a designer, and Felix Carrière, a cabinetmaker, met over a shared weakness for charcuterie. They knew straight away that by pooling their knowledge and their skills they could bring to life objects that were practical but also, and above all, one of a kind. Their shared passion for wood finally confirmed their wish to work together, and that is how Atelier Helios came into being.

Charlotte’s design work combined with Félix’s craftsmanship gives rise to unique, functional pieces. Some of their products have been awarded prizes by the region, and in a number of competitions elsewhere in France. That is the case of the Aficionado humidor.

The humidors of Atelier Helios

Cigar enthusiasts often pay close attention to the box their cigars are kept in. Charlotte and Félix have taken note of this and have created two remarkable humidors.

The Aficionado humidor

Winner of the first prize for excellence in handcraft and of the jury’s favourite award at the 2017 Challenge entrepreneurs competition, the Helios Aficionado humidor leaves nobody indifferent. It has to be said that round models with this much character are rare. This piece of French craftsmanship was designed to give cigars a case worthy of them.

The EOS humidor

The EOS humidor is more conventional, although its design is highly innovative. The block of wood opens on both sides to reveal the racks inside. It is a natural case with refined touches and impeccable finishing. Everything has been designed to store up to 120 cigars in the best conditions.
