The vape music video: what future for the e-cig?

An e-cigarette retailer in Las Vegas has put out a humorous music video setting out his own take on vaping.
The clip is a light-hearted response to the bills hanging over the electronic cigarette and the future of vaping. In France, and particularly since the announcement of the national programme to reduce smoking presented by health minister Marisol Touraine, the electronic cigarette may well face a number of changes: three measures were set out.

The minister said at the time that “it was better to vape than to smoke” and that “anything that can help smokers to stop is worth having, including the electronic cigarette”, while also describing the electronic cigarette as a “gateway to smoking”.

The three measures cover a ban on smoking in public places, including at work, the protection of minors, and stricter rules on advertising for the e-cig. Even though it is currently permitted to advertise a brand of electronic cigarette, word of mouth remains the main way the sector makes itself known.
