The different spare parts for a shisha

Like many accessories, a shisha has parts that need changing regularly to prevent it from working badly. Here is an overview of the various spare parts for your water pipe.

Why change certain parts of your shisha?

Wear, or simply the end of a part’s useful life, makes it necessary to change some parts of your shisha. This is perfectly normal, but it has to be dealt with in time to keep the water pipe working properly. Beyond the vase, which can break, here are all the parts that have to be changed once worn or damaged.

The hose adapter or connector

This adapter connects the hose of the shisha to the stem. Without it, the hose would not stay in place. Over time and with heat, though, it can deteriorate and stop doing its job. That is why it is important to change it.

The valve balls

Made of polyamide, they allow an airtight and smooth draw during a session. The ball sits in the valve to keep it sealed. Note that it comes in two diameters.

The shisha ashtray

This part sits on the stem of the shisha, just under the bowl. Its role is to catch the ash. Made of glass, the ashtray can break during cleaning or after a clumsy movement.

Shisha seals

Whether it is the bowl seal or the hose seal, they keep the water pipe airtight and working properly. They are made of rubber, so they deteriorate with time and heat.

The same goes for the vase seal, which connects the stem to the vase. It has to be replaced regularly to avoid losing draw.

The diffusers

Some shisha brands fit a diffuser, DUD water pipes among them. Made of glass, it breaks easily, yet it is essential for limiting the noise of the turbulence in the vase. It also makes the draw smoother and lighter.
