Choosing a rolling paper to make your own cigarettes is not a neutral decision. Depending on its characteristics, the taste of the tobacco can change. Here is an overview of the different shapes and sizes of rolling paper.

The different sizes of rolling paper

There are no fewer than 6 models of rolling paper on the market. Depending on what you prefer, it may be worth turning to one rather than another.

• Regular rolling papers, the standard model, measuring 68 x 34 mm
• 1 ¼ rolling papers, slightly larger, measuring 76 x 45 mm
• 1 ½ rolling papers, wider still, measuring 76 x 60 mm
• Double rolling papers, which by definition are twice as wide, at 76 x 63 mm
• King Size rolling papers, measuring 100 x 55 mm
• King Slim rolling papers, narrower and longer, at 105 x 42 mm

Some rolling papers come in different flavours, and they also come in different shapes. The most conventional is the rectangle, but other models exist.

Cones and wraps

These do away with the chore of rolling and are mainly used for herbs, although some people also use them for tobacco. The cones are available in several sizes.

Rolls papers

Less common but decidedly practical, Rolls rolling papers are a way of spending less. They are aimed at an experienced user who can already roll a cigarette without the slightest difficulty. They are sold as a roll to be used as you see fit: unlike conventional papers, they are not pre-cut, which leaves you free to choose the format you want. There is no need to carry several packets of papers around for different occasions, since you can roll a large or a small format as you please.
