What is new at Zippo

Owning a lighter bearing the red flame is already something. Being able to personalise it with the insert of your choice goes a step further. Zippo now lets you fit the insert that suits you to your lighter. The blue flame the lighter produces is instant and, above all, odourless. This range of inserts fits every lighter in the brand’s catalogue, with the exception of the Slim and the Replica 1935.

Three types of insert are available: the “Single Torch” single insert, the “Double Torch” double insert and the “ARC Insert” electric insert. Single or double, choose the flame that suits you to personalise your lighter.

The specifications of the new inserts

Thinking of changing your Zippo insert for one of the three new models? Which one to go for? Here are a few details about the products to help you choose.
The single insert gives an adjustable blue flame lit by piezoelectric ignition. It burns at up to 1260 °C and runs on butane gas. Lighting is quick and easy. This insert is designed to last, and provides around 100 five-second lightings per refill.

The double insert produces an adjustable blue flame, also piezoelectric, burning at up to 1260 °C as well. The brand’s own butane refill is strongly recommended. The flame is powerful and sustained. This insert provides around 60 five-second lightings per filling, with a flame of about 2.5 cm.

The electric insert generates 2 powerful crossed plasma arcs. It can be recharged and fits all standard Zippo lighters. It is a windproof double beam with a double-press push-button ignition. It runs on a battery with a 10-second cut-out and charges through a USB port in about 1 hour. Some 300 charges are possible per battery. The Zippo “click” is retained. It lights cigarettes or cigars even in windy conditions.
