A Cohiba watch for the brand’s 55th anniversary

Cohiba is 55 this year. To mark the occasion, the brand has joined forces with Zenith for the fifth time to launch a very limited series of Cohiba Zenith Chronomaster watches. They are now on general sale.
Fifty-five pieces for the whole world
It was in May, during the Habanos World Days, that Zenith announced a special Chronomaster Open series. The watch marks the brand’s 55 years with only 55 pieces on sale internationally. It is the sixth Cohiba special edition the watchmaker has produced.
Black and white chequerboard, spotless yellow: Zenith has overlooked no detail on the Chronomaster Open, its emblematic watch, in paying tribute to the cigar brand. The yellow seconds hand has a star-shaped counterweight, a detail no cigar enthusiast will miss. Part of the dial even offers a glimpse of the watch’s celebrated El Primero movement.
Only 55 pieces are planned for the whole world, so aficionados have been warned. Buyers will also receive an exclusive co-signed porcelain jar containing 5 Cohiba cigars.

An unusual watch
Beyond the looks already described, Zenith’s Chronomaster Open Cohiba has a 50-hour power reserve. At 4.2 centimetres across, it remains restrained and discreet, as suitable in town as at the office. Water-resistant to 100 metres, it can stay on the wrist in any circumstances.
The strap is made of black alligator leather with a rubber lining. The Cohiba 55 logo is printed on the inner face of the watch’s sapphire crystal. The watch comes in a stainless steel case. It goes on sale in Zenith boutiques and at a small number of carefully chosen prestige retailers from October 2021.
