The Pipe Show in Saint-Claude, planned for June 2025

This is an event not to be missed by anyone fond of briars and pipes of every kind. The Pipe Show will take place on 28 June 2025 in Saint-Claude, the capital of the French pipe. Here is everything you need to know.

The International Pipe Show: the first exhibition of its kind

The Pipe Show is being held on 28 June 2025 to mark the 150th anniversary of the guild of master pipe makers of Saint-Claude. On that day, enthusiasts, collectors and craftsmen will come together to share their interest. Conversation and exchange are on the programme, in what promises to be a very pleasant setting.

French pipe makers will take pride of place at the International Pipe Show, but their foreign counterparts will be there too, giving visitors a glimpse of the craft as it is practised around the world.

A brand new website has been put online so that you can follow the event from near or far, with the programme, the exhibitors, practical information and, above all, the option of booking your place.

A colourful programme

Held at the salle des fêtes in Saint-Claude, the Pipe Show runs over two days. The exhibition itself takes place on Saturday 28. The hall opens at 8 am so that exhibitors can set up for an hour before the public arrives. From 9 am until 5 pm you can then walk the aisles, look over the work of the 75 exhibitors, make your purchases and even talk with the craftsmen. At 6 pm comes the 150th induction ceremony at the Museum of the Pipe and the Diamond. Finally, at around 8 pm, a gala dinner will bring this memorable day to a close. You can take part for the modest sum of 45 euros, which covers entry, the main course, cheese, dessert and wine. Booking is essential. The dinner will again be held at the salle des fêtes in Saint-Claude.

The following day, Sunday 29 June, a visit will be organised to the workshops of the master pipe makers Chacom, Genod and Rostiak. It will be a chance to see how the craftsmen work and how your favourite pipes are made. Finally, from 2 pm, you can watch or take part in the slow-smoking contest organised by the Pipe Club de Morez, once again at the salle des fêtes in Saint-Claude. A pipe will be supplied to participants (the maker has still not been revealed).
