Mü-Bot, the robot with long arms

The little Mü-Bot robot is a gadget of Japanese origin whose arms are in fact a pair of stereo earphones. Its universal mini-jack audio connector makes it compatible with every headphone socket found on computers, games consoles, smartphones, tablets and MP3 players.

When the Mü-Bot is not in use, its arms are formed by the tips of the earphones, in other words the part you place in your ear. Small buttons on the top of the robot’s head wind the cables in and out.

This white plastic robot, with its clean and unusual design, can be clipped onto clothing or a bag using the clasp on its back. When it is used in one place, on a desk for instance, it can simply be stood on its base.

Finally, the Mü-Bot has the advantage of doubling as a decorative object when it is not in use. All you need to do is set it on its base and wind up the cables so that they are out of sight.
The Mü-Bot has been a considerable success in its home country and should appeal in France to teenagers and to fans of Japanese manga culture.
