Electric tube-filling machines are used to fill cigarette tubes at home. They are very simple to operate and are generally chosen for the time they save. Smoking.fr currently lists three models: the Zorr electric tube-filling machine, the Ciggi machine and our latest addition, the Art & Volutes machine.
Ciggi electric tube-filling machine
The Ciggi model uses an endless screw to fill the tube. The tobacco is fed in at the top of the machine and a rotating spiral pushes it into the tube. The graduated knob on the side of the machine sets how firmly the tobacco is packed into the tube. It is advisable to help the tobacco down into the machine, as it can sometimes remain in the filling funnel.

The Zorr machine, for its part, uses a system other than the endless screw.
The tube is filled by a rod that pushes the tobacco in. This system is more reliable and produces a more evenly packed cigarette. Another point about this machine: the lever you lower to start the process also trims off the excess tobacco, delivering only the amount the cigarette needs.

The Art & Volutes model is a new machine made by the Art & Volutes brand.
The system is the same as on the Ciggi, that is to say an endless screw. Changes have been made, however, for greater reliability, while keeping the price very reasonable. At 39.90 euros, the machine can be used without difficulty.

The materials they are made of
One last difference between these three electric tube-filling machines, apart from price, is the material they are made of. The Ciggi machine is made of plastic, hard-wearing of course, while the Zorr is made of metal, which gives it a longer life. The strong point of the Art & Volutes machine is that it comes with a 12-month warranty.
