How to use an S.T. Dupont gas refill?

Once again, S.T. Dupont chooses a color code for its refills. To use the refills, a few simple steps to follow:

• Screw the refill into the lighter valve.
• Turn the lighter and the refill upside down.
• Press the refill, without forcing, and hold for 5 seconds.
• Repeat once, press and hold for 5 seconds.

In 5 seconds, the lighter is charged.
NEW, it is possible to reuse the refill multiple times.

1. Why do I have weaknesses during refilling?
The system is airtight but there are always some gas residues in the valve. This was already the case with the old refills.

2. How can I know if the lighter is properly filled?
Follow these 2 steps. Empty the lighter, press and hold the refill for 5 seconds to refill it fully.
Note.The lighter becomes cold, it is a sign that it is properly refilled.

3. Is it normal for the pressure to be so hard during refilling?
Yes, so that the refill valve remains open.

4. I feel like my lighter is not properly refilled.
This is often related to customer habits (those who use the old refills). With the old refills, you had to wait between 5 and 10 minutes. With the new ones, the refilling procedure only takes 5 seconds and is much easier.
